Ingredients:
1 cup of flour.3 teaspoons of baking powder.
¾ teaspoon of salt.
½ teaspoon of cinnamon.
¼ teaspoon of cloves.
1 cup of thick prune pulp.
1 cup of dry breadcrumbs.
1 cup of ground suet.
1 cup of sugar.
1 cup of milk.
3 medium eggs, well beaten.
Directions:
Sift the flour; measure; then and sift with the baking powder, salt, cinnamon and cloves.Make the prune pulp by rubbing cooked prunes through a sieve.
Combine the prune pulp, breadcrumbs, suet, sugar, milk and eggs.
Add dry the ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Pour into well oiled 1 pound cans.
Cover, then steam for 2 hours.
Serve hot with caramel sauce.
